Christer Eriksson loves bending the truth

Christer Eriksson is one of Australia’s longest working photorealistic illustrators. Looking through his portfolio you marvel at his attention to detail in every subject he draws. Whether it be every steel bar on the frame of the Eiffel Tower, every hair on a bee or every thorny scale of a dinosaur, Christer dedicates himself to capturing all the detail until the final illustration looks photographic.

This latest campaign briefed to us by Mccann Singapore is testament to Christer’s perfectionist work ethic. Take a close look at every strand of the rabbit’s fur, every glimmer of light on the echidna’s spikes and the speckled shaddows on the underside of the clouds and remember that each detail was rendered by hand. Each pixel received individual attention. Most of all we hope you appreciate that this illustration was not retouched from a photograph. It was created entirely by one illustrator who deliberately placed every stroke in order to best articulate the visual metaphor at the centre of the client’s brief.
